Medical electrolysis is a permanent hair removal technique that treats each hair follicle individually, in order to successfully remove hairs from the face and body. The process of electrolysis involves a fine sterile probe being inserted just under the surface of the skin, sending a small electrical current into the base of the hair follicle. This destroys the follicle’s ability to reproduce new hair, therefore once your treatment course is complete hair regrowth is completely eradicated. Electrolysis can be conducted on almost any area of the body or face apart from inside your nose or ear.

Electrolysis treatment can be adapted to suit the needs of each individual client by varying any or all of the following – electrical current intensity, application timing, probe type and method of electrolysis. The treatment itself is described as feeling like a warm heat sensation; the sensation can vary depending on the area being treated, your skin and hair type and your individual pain threshold. Whilst pain is a variable experience and highly subjective the general sensation you will experience is only that of slight discomfort.
The number of treatments you will need in order to achieve permanent hair removal will vary depending on the individual and the hair density of the treatment area. This means that each course of treatment is completely individualised, however you will experience and feel a difference quite quickly, which will give you the confidence to complete your treatment course. You will need regular appointments over the course of a year for most treatment areas and we are confident that our electrolysis treatment will provide you with the permanent total hair loss results that you are seeking.
